Spring bar gags at Surgical Holdings Veterinary are used for holding the mouth open when working in the oral cavity, or for forcing the mouth open when it cannot open naturally. A spring bar gag consists of a metal frame with two spring-loaded bars that can be adjusted to gently and securely hold the jaws open. This allows veterinarians to access and work on the animal's teeth and oral cavity comfortably and effectively. The spring mechanism provides constant tension to keep the mouth open, facilitating thorough dental care and procedures in veterinary practice. Available in 5 size options from extra small to extra large. All of our stainless steel spring bar gags are manufactured in accordance with BS 5194.
